Welcome to Redwood Sports Psychology
Psychology Services for Individuals, Teams & Schools
I support children and young people to build a positive, confident and sustainable relationship with sport across a wide range of disciplines. My aim is to help young athletes thrive, not just in terms of performance, but also in their overall wellbeing, motivation and mindset. Using my specialist knowledge of child development and the psychology of learning, I design bespoke programmes to support children, teenagers and young adults. Sessions focus on building confidence, emotional resilience and mental skills to help athletes:
Manage performance pressure and anxiety
Cope with setbacks and bounce back from disappointment
Maintain motivation and focus
Navigate the emotional highs and lows of competition
Perform at their best while enjoying their sport
Whether your child is competing at a high level or just beginning their sporting journey, psychological support can help them develop the tools they need to grow both as an athlete and as a young person.
Individual Sessions
I specialise in child development, and have a unique insight into the psychological process involved in performance psychology for children and young people. I can help your child in a range of areas to develop their sporting talents, from managing competition nerves, to developing techniques to give them the competitive edge.
Working with teams
I can support teams to maximise success through a range of techniques that encourage the understanding of group dynamics. Through working with teams, I can develop motivation, increase confidence and support positive attitudes to manage success and learn from setbacks.
School workshops and talks
Learning how to manage in competitive situations to maximise enjoyment and success are life skills that can be applied to many areas of life. I offer a range of workshops and talks to school to help foster positive relationships with sport for now, and in the future.
